Week 6

Please post this week's discussion of readings through the writing room on this website.  Use Assignment #6 to indicate that this is the week 6 posting.  Go on to other numbers if you're posting further responses (such as the final reflections) on this site.

Weeks 4 and 5

I plan to update these on the assignments page so that you'll have access to a full record of the work we've done.  If you have to miss a week and its activity (like the webquest in week 5), please carry out the activity yourself and send me the link.  (I'd still like the URL's from everyone.

Week 3

We decided to use a blog for this week's reading and discussion posts.  Our course blog is at http://engltech.blogspot.com/.  I've added you all as authors.  To post on the blog, sign in at Blogger.com and select our blog in your own dashboard.

Once you've set up your own blog at Blogger.com (which you'll use for this week's reflective journal), please send me the blog address so that I can make links to the main blog.  (Or as an author, you can add a link yourself if you go to the template page.)

I've updated the assignments page on this site, to reflect this week's work.

Week 2--

6/6--I've posted a prompt for responding to readings/posting to this site on the assignments page.  I also put a discussions organizer on the WebCT site that contains all of the discussions that are located on WebCT, and I added a new discussion for follow-up to Tuesday's night's work with responding.

I've posted most of your pictures.  If you wanted to post your own, please do so now.

I've fixed the passwords of those of you who were already in the website data base.  Jeremy, Daniel, Alan, Gerard, and Leigh should use the first 4 digits of their student ID #, not the last.  Everything seems to be working now.  Please let me know if you have any trouble posting..

Reminder:  Draft any longer responses in Word and then copy and paste., so that you don't get timed out and lose what you've written.

You can open two or more browser windows to keep different pages of this site open at once.

Week 1--Please take the following surveys by Thursday 5/31 (created at www. surveymonkey.com).  I have revised the first three. The fourth was OK.  Sorry for the glitches in my first Survey Monkey attempt.  They seem to work now.

Survey 1:  Technology--Personal Use (Revised)

Survey 2:  Using Technology in Teaching (Revised)

Survey 3:  Teachers' Tech Savvy (Revised).  Follow questions in Kadjer, p. 131-133 and enter your level for each question in response to survey (created at www. surveymonkey.com).

Survey 4:  697 Course Goals and Preferences
