10/4 Choice A won the vote. Use your webprofile space in the way you think will best contribute to your learning and your classmates learning. The basic requirement for evaluation is to have completed one post that contributes to learning, and a comment responding to the contribution of one other student's post before Thanksgiving (Th Nov 23).
The post can be entered as Assignment #2. Additional posts can be numbered in order. All comments will appear under the posts to which they respond.
Do not wait until right before the deadline to ensure that you are able to log-in and complete the assignment. Try it today! If you have not yet created an introduction for yourself, do so.
9/26 Today is the deadline for your first hard copy assignment (don't forget to download the checklist!) but it's also time to start thinking about how we can best use our on-line space to promote class learning. Click on the "Help" button in the lower left margin for directions on how to post, and click on the "Writing Room" link to log in.
This week, before next Tuesday, create a profile for yourself and post your choice of how to use the site as 'Assignment #1':
Assignment #1
Which of the following options for using our student profiles space sounds like the best one to you?
Post your choice by Tuesday Oct 3.
A. The choice of how to use the student profiles space could be left undefined—each student could do what he or she thinks would contribute most to both personal and classmates’ learning
B. Each student could use her or his profile space to keep a running log of responses to and questions about each week’s reading, and comment on each others’ logs
C. Each student could choose and assemble an on-line presentation of a relevant topic
To find out more about your fellow classmates' interests, search the details on the "Student Profiles" page and to see the vote results as they appear, look at the "Class Portfolio" page.
