Reminders for next week:

1. Post a revised poem by 7pm TONIGHT (Friday) for next Monday's workshop
2. Next Monday there WILL BE CLASS -- we will be workshopping your pieces
3. Please see the assignments page for instructions on the workshop and the classmate critiques due Monday
4. There is no class on Wednesday or Friday of next week due to our conference schedule (see below if you've forgotten your time/day).
5. To your conference you will bring your first Craft Response Essay.  See the assignments page for details on that assignment.

Below is the current conference schedule for Wednesday, March 4th, or Friday, March 6th.  Each of you will meet with me for 15 minutes on one of these days.  This is not optional.  If you have not yet signed up, please do so this week.

To this conference, please bring your first Craft Response Essay on a single poem we’ve read for class (from the text or the packets I have had you read; see the Assignments page for more information).  Please also come prepared to talk about where you feel your writing has improved already, where you would like to see it improve more, and any questions/concerns you have about the class or the creative writing process.

PLEASE NOTE: These conferences will take place in Wheatley 6-095 (6th floor).  To get to this room, take a left off of the elevators on the 6th floor, and a left once you’ve passed through the double-doors.  Go through one more set of double doors and you’ll see room 95 on your left.

Please note there have been two small changes to the syllabus.  The poetry workshop originally schedule for Friday, February 27th, has been moved to Monday, March 3rd.  This means that there WILL BE CLASS on Monday, March 3rd, and conferences on the 4th and 6th.

Please also note that class will meet on Wednesday, Feb. 25th, in the UMB Bookstore to attend a poetry reading together.
